Marty is a Texas based artist focused on creating unique pieces that bring joy and light into the space. The artist finds inspiration from her travels and often works with locally found products to create. Her passion is clearly reflected on the canvas.
About the Artist
Marty spent most of her childhood in Austin, TX, which is quickly being recognized as a premiere destination for music and the arts. It’s no surprise that the artist’s creativity was born in the same place where the streets are covered in local creations and songs can be heard around every bend. As she entered her last year of high school, her mom moved both Marty and her sister to Hico, TX. A stark juxtaposition to say the least from her life in the city. It was in this small conservative town where she met her husband of now 26 years and the father of her four children. She owned and operated a salon for over 30 years and found happiness in making others feel beautiful. Marty always found constructing pieces for her home a way to engage with her family and make something that they could all enjoy together. After a lifetime of creating for herself and her family she is excited to share her art with the world.
Marty’s Mission
The Marty Project’s mission is to provide a piece that feels prosperous, cheerful, and whole. Similar to the light heartedness and purity of the collections, the artist strives to do good by providing a portion of all of the proceeds from her collections to a charity of her choice.
